Default I see a new moon rising...

This was taken on my way home along Marine Parade on Sat. The condos with the moon & stars (v. faint, look carefully) in between were too nice to pass off.

For those preparing for the star trail, this {teaser} was taken w/o tripod, DSLR resting on the ground, self-timer mode, 10" exposure, F5.6, ISO100, 16-35mm lens @ 16mm. The star are just starting to get elongated; 30" would have made it longer, but overblown the moon & buildings.

Quite abstract to my preception, you might want to desaturate a little and give it a blueish tone.

That in my sense, could be quite "space-age".

considering the brightness of the moon you still manage to get a couple of stars clearly visible in the picture the picture has a very 'sharp' feel to it also

... looks like you're taking a breather these days

Thanks, wished I could say "...didn't even check my settings" Too bad I did not have more time that night to LE the shot... this was the best out of 4.

Haha... had a two night reprieve and so I took it to "breathe"

I think you need to go to a darker place to shoot. eg a open field.

Thanks, ya, but I liked the buildings in the foreground, couldn't resist!

Haha, know what you mean... it gave me a creak in the neck, too! Thanks.
