I find the Olympus C-770 a little out-dated compared with current mega zoom offerings.

Pana has OIS, gain of 2-3 stops. A clean ISO200 give another 1 stop advantage. Overall, it gives brighter pics or background for night scene.
I think, nowadays, it is quite embarassing to say you buy a new power zoom dc w/o stabaliser, becos both features work hand in hand. Although it has no hotshoe, i use a wireless slave flash which cost only $30, bought at hong lim complex. |

panasonic has clean ISO200? I don't think so, it is quite noisy once you use more than ISO100.

Mega zoom compact without image stabilizer is rather outdated.
