The histogram feature is more like a piece of graph work on my image preview screen. Yet, I notice that some guys do actually read and intepret them.
For the more pros out there, care to shed some light on this? Cheers |

Again, that really depends on what you're shooting. If it's a normal photo (you're not going for some creative effect), watching out for clipping on the highlights or shadows is good enough. However, all the dSLRs below 1 series only show luminosity histogram, not quite the various channels, so we can't tell as accurately.
If you're shooting silhouettes, you'd expect it to be underexposed, etc etc. |
