    Before you ditch those less-than-stellar photos....try giving them a new lease of life through post-processing (PP).
    I will be sharing in this thread some examples of PP that I usually carry out for my photos.
    The software I use are all free and easily downloadable; Irfanview, Photoscape, GIMP, Neat Image (free edition).

    First off, a recent group photo taken with Apple Iphone 4S at iso 400. The image is noisy, lacks contrast, white balance is off,
    and the colours are dull.

    BEFORE:



    Post-processing:
    Neat Image - reduce noise using auto noise profile
    Photoscape - Correct lighting and improve contrast using backlighting function, correct white balance, sharpen
    Neat Image - reduce noise using auto noise profile

    AFTER:



    No prizes for guessing who these four handsome gentlemen are
