I just want a simple and compact bino. Looking for this model - SPORTSTAR IV 10x25DCF. List price at $120. Not sure whether those shops carry this model or not ? Will go and look around. Hopefully they carry the black one rather than the silver colour.

maybe you want to consider the 8x25 instead. the optics will be brighter.

wong_se: i got it for $120 (or was it $115?) ...that was more than 6mths back.

i tried both the 8x25 and the 10x25. not much diff.

get one that's more than 25 and it would be much brighter for sure

Can I get 10X Zeiss or Leican bino at $100 ? Not sure about pricing of Leica bino ?

Of course, if $ is not concerned, I would always prefer D2X rather than CoolPix 4300..
