IR Outing #16
19th June 2005
Meeting Place: Redhill MRT Stn
Time: 0930hrs

Roughly the route will be:-
We'll start from Redhill MRT Stn, walk down towards Tiong Bahru Park. Then to river behind Anchor Point to Zion Road Hawker Center, can stop for a drink or lunch if time is right.

From there, we'll proceed down the river behind King's Hotel, venture into the area where there are abandoned old buildings, old warehouses.

From there we will proceed on towards Robertson Walk, back of Daimaru, Clarke Quay, Boat Quay and end at Esplanade.

You will be able to get scenes like the ones posted most recently by Photoexpress in the walk down the river.

Quite a long walk, hope the weather holds.

Those driving, I suggest you park somewhere around Esplanade area and take a train from City Hall to Redhill MRT Stn. IIRC there are some free parking lots around Victoria Memorial Hall area.

Get your names/nicks into the list.

Hi ,

If you dun mind, can I join for the outing (provided I dun have to work this sunday as well)?

Keen to learn abt infrared photography....... I would need to bring along my cam, tripod and R72 rite? Any other equipment?

Most welcome to join us. But please let me know by Sat afternoon if you can join us. So that we'll know whether to wait for you. I have PMed you my mobile number.

Bring your cam, IR Filter, tripod and most important water bottle and a cap. Dress light, shorts and t-shirt is fine and good walking shoes.

Cathay definitely out of stock, next shipment is 2 months from now.
I just checked with TK, MS and Max Photo, no stock also.

Teerex, you can try the jogging track (canal) at Alexandra road (opp Redhill) follow the canal and will hit Great World hawker centre. Also can try Tiong Bahru Park too.

Not able to join you people and meet the new guys this week. Will have a chance.

But we would like to spend more time at the old buildings, old godowns behind River View Hotel. Then down towards Robertson Walk, Clarke Quay and Boat Quay area.
