nice coverage.. but I'm quite against grey hound racing. They are skinny by nature and run fast. But in order for the dogs to run faster, some owners believe in having lighter dogs.
They literally starve the poor dogs to get skinner and feed only with high energy foods and force them to run a lot. ![]() When the dogs dun perform..they are made to play the piano. The truth is.. it's not elegant. They hang the dogs with a noose and the feets barely touch the ground. To stay alive the dog actually tip toes and looks like it's playing the piano with it's feet. It dies a slow death.. sad and cruel world of gambling..

This is highly disturbing!
As a dog lover, could I ask, where did you get the evidence of this happening? Please PM me if you feel uncomfortable mentioning it in the open thread. I assume you have evidence...

Well i watch quite a few documentaries on Discovery and Animal Planet on Grey Hound abuse before.
After retiring, they're housed in small cages (bad living conditions), often without food so that they will die faster to reduce the cost of maintaining them. This was snapped in Ireland? Maybe they have sufficent laws to protect them.
