    Hi guys, would like to ask what the rates are for taking editorial photos for a magazine??
    fullday and halfday rates??

    Depends how strong your portfolio is as well plus the person that you liase with. Depends on the magazine as well. If it's local distribution, it's not very high but if it's international distribution please take out your calculator.

    I have shot editorial as low as $800 for 1/2 day to as high as $3000 for full day. Quoting anything below $800 is a little risky as you may need to reshoot if there is any problem later. Clients will DEFINATELY PUSH for much lower price and I can bet with you, there will be photographer who will quote lower than you. So if you are able to convince your client that you can deliver the work, then you are on your way.

    Don't forget that you need to calculate for your assitance, digital Imager, transport, lightings and so on.
