    Default RAM buying question

hi guys, need some help in buying Ram. I am thinking of purchasing additonal RAM for my PC...however,

    1. How do I check for the maximum allowable RAM on my PC?
    2. Do I need to check what kind of RAM will be compatible with my motherboard? If so, how do I check?
    3. Besides physically taking out the ram and check what type it is....how else can I check on my PC?

usually u can just take out the existing ram stick and just buy another of the exact same type - assuming that your pc is able to support up to 2x the existing ram capacity (which it should be able to - unless its a really old hardware)
