Good news for the cleaners but is it good news for the bosses?

    http://www.stjobs.sg/career-resource...eaners/a/70544

As one member has pointed out earlier, constantly seeking for higher wages will not solve the cost of living issues. It is a zero sum game. The rise in salary must come from some where. NTUC mentioned that the rise in wages comes from the rise in productivity. We shall see how this is to be executed.

It is a vicious cycle...... but if cleaner's wage don't increase, how will they manage to make ends meet in Singapore?
I would say the one who push through for highest world class salary plunge and started the cycle....

The cat is finally out. As we have expected, the PTC has approved for the transport fare hike.

Prices for other goods will be up soon.

You can meet this cat on 6 April 2014 but make sure that you top up more for your ez-link card as fares would be higher.

Met one ice cream seller (those on push-cart or bicycle) where you will normally see them in housing estates, Bugis, outside mrt, etc.

The price has gone up by $0.20 from $1 to $1.20 for the ice cream (biscuit type). Asked the hawker why the increased? Of course, price has to go up in time ,said the hawker. No reason given, just a smile.

Has the cost of material making ice cream gone up? Or the licencing fee paid to the authority has increased? Or the expenses of the hawker has gone up so that he/she has to increase the prices of the products to recover the additional expenses?

Why does anyone want to reproduce in this country. Imagine 20 years later, how your kids will whine about unable to afford a house, no money to buy a car, work till no life quality. Even ice cream will cost $5 at this rate.

Or that can be his little bit of "pay increment"?
One item price increase, slowly lot of other items increase price too (except most of our salary).

In the past ATMs only dispense $50 notes max. Now $100 is the new $50.

To an employee with CPF, having no salary increment will not be as bad as when one goes above 50, the "salary" starts to decrease.

That translate to cost savings and increase in productivity.

Expected.... what is new? Expenditure will fall as people look to manage their finances, and economy will likely to shrink...

    Well.....

If you reproduce... make sure to train your child to:

    1. Speak proper English with no half F*** slang from dunno with planet
    2. Do housekeeping - eg. make their own bed
    3. Teach them photography/ videography - lighting, keeping the background need and tidy
    4. Teach them grooming - look better in video

So when they whine online... they will look more credible, and get more "Like" or ""....
