X-pro 1 and x100 both have af that really sucks eggs. The industry has moved on with on sensor pdaf. No point advising TS to get something so crippled when there are so many much better technology around.
Personally I think EOS-M and running kids does not mix well...
Oh yeah, I compared it to X100, X-Pro, NEX-7 and EM-5 because I've used them. I didn't mention any cameras I haven't used. The X100 and Xpro still frustrates me from time to time even after their firmware updates: AF speed is up, but still false positives. Not sure if X100S with it's PDAF actually fixed the missed focuses though.
Since you mentioned I didn't advise anything to TS then here it is: TS - do hold and play around with each of them at a shop. They are different enough ergonomically that you'll probably appreciate one over another. Also, don't discount the look of the pictures you can get out of the camera even though most of them are buying sensors from Sony nowadays. Each company has some magic voodoo they do that give a 'look' to their pictures. This is even if you shot in RAW. For me, I like Canon and Fuji colors. I find Sony's reds are very vibrant and saturated. Oly files have a reddish/brownish tint to them that I don't like. YMMV of course.
I'm LX7 user. Can say it's my day-to-day use camera, as I bringing it with me all the time. Great low light, very close macro, AF is decently fast, etc. I'm quite pleased with the image taken. Purchased for USD 299.00 tht time frm Amazon, it's a great value.
Thank you to all who have given me input. Very much appreciated!
I've tried playing ard with RX100 and EM5 recently. Gonna drop by funan later today to hands on the X-E2.
