Talking LCD Monitor purchasing help.

I'm going to get something from the pc show later.

budget 2k.

what do you suggest for a LCD monitor, I'm hoping for something good 19" or more. (haha 30"? but the apple hd lcd is 5k..sighz)

I am too getting an LCD and I have decided on the Viewsonic VP171b...it's a 16.7m color panel

But I must find out more on the warranty policy etc first

It's a 8ms panel... There's not way it can be a 24bit (16.7m) panel at the moment..

You may wish to take a look at this article before you buy :

For color work it is better to get a S-IPS LCD panel -- most popular ones are based on TN matrixes which is not suited for color.

Is this good enough FOR photography related software?

Got my VP171b at Cybermind booth....they offer with free Canon bubble jet printer and a DVI cable...but I don't want the printer so they knock off $50 so I paid $529....Now surfing and typing in Pivot mode....Shiok!!!

I dunno, I went and bought the viewsonic vx912.. (cos if i got a 21" one, I may as well get 2 19" ones..)

its a 8ms panel... so just 18bit??

24bit panels are 16.7 million colors

Acer got like very good sale on..

15" = 299
17" = 399 i think
19" = somewhere ard 699?

Viewsonic VP191 has 8ms response, 24 bit colour & good colour accuracy.

Mine seems good so far.

0 dead pixel for 7 days warranty, 5 dead pixels warranty for 3 years
