I think some of the posts in Kopitiam has made this world a scary place to be.

The other world can look so promising to some:

    Flash fired intermitently by itself

"Police advised involved parties to settle the dispute amicably," added a spokesperson, who said investigations are ongoing.
Such physical altercations are often classified as cases of voluntarily causing hurt, a non-arrestable offence, meaning that police cannot arrest a suspect without a warrant.
Is that so? Depends on who is the one who got hurt.

Bodies found in Singapore and Kallang rivers in two separate cases

[Updated on 2 January 2014, 9:16pm: Added details on body found in Kallang River]

A body was found in the Singapore River and another in the Kallang River on Thursday afternoon.

The police have classified each of the two separate cases as an “unnatural death”.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) was alerted to the case of a body in the Singapore River near 20 Upper Circular Road at 3:53pm, according to an SCDF spokesman.

He also said that SCDF sent one fire engine and one ambulance to the location, after which the body was manually retrieved using a rescue line.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to the police, the dead man was in his 60s.

The case has been classified as “unnatural death” and investigations are ongoing, they said.

According to an eyewitness, the body was found in the river facing JUMBO Seafood Restaurant.

The eyewitness, Ahmad Jihadi, 25, who works at a nearby club as a sound engineer, said that the body appeared to be that of an old Chinese man wearing long black pants and a light brown shirt unbuttoned at the chest.

    Body found in Kallang River

SCDF were also alerted at about 4:08pm to the presence of a man’s body in the Kallang River, near the Kallang Water Sports Centre, said a spokesman, adding that the body was retrieved with the assistance of the Public Utilities Board (PUB).

Paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene.

The police were also alerted to the case after receiving a call at 3:46pm requesting for assistance at the river along Nicoll Highway near Golden Mile Complex.

Upon police arrival, a man was found motionless at the said location.

The police have also classified the case as an “unnatural death” and investigations are ongoing.

Man charged for Choa Chu Kang murder of missing man

A Chinese man has been charged in court with the murder of 37-year-old Dexmon Chua Yizhi together with unknown persons.

Chua was earlier reported to be missing since last Saturday evening after he had gone out for a meal.

According to media reports, 53-year-old Chia Kee Chen allegedly caused the death of Chua, a production technician, at a multi-storey carpark at Block 429A Choa Chu Kang Avenue 4 between last Saturday and this Sunday.

The Singapore Police Force said in a Facebook post that the man was arrested on Tuesday.

On Wednesday, he led them to the vicinity of Lim Chu Kang Road where Chua’s body was discovered.

Media reports added that Chua’s body had been found in thick bushes in a military training area near Sungei Gedong Camp, with his hands bound and T-shirt pulled up to his neck.

Police said it received a missing persons report for Chua on Sunday.

He was last seen at an eatery along Cheong Chin Nam Road last Saturday at about 9:44pm, added the police.

On Monday, police issued a new release appealing for information about the whereabouts of Chua.

According to media reports, Chua’s brother-in-law, David Goh, also put up an appeal on his Facebook page.

Police also said that officers from the Jurong Police Division worked closely with officers from the Criminal Investigation Department to conduct investigative probes and enquiries as there were “suspicious circumstances relating to the case”.

Some of these sort of deaths happen frequently

Just that more citizen journalists and social media makes it more sensational, doesn't mean that it happens way more often than normal

Maybe we can open a sub forum dedicated for him, called Live Reportage or something. In 1 thread can submit several posts in a row.

I am wondering.... it is bad the poor drunkard exposed himself....

But is the one who shoot and post this doing an even worse than the one who expose himself? At least he was drunk, and was not aware.... one did it with the intention to take a photo of a naked picture and post online, where possibly millions can see it???
