Default [Mass Order 2] - OTG Digital Camera Partner

Dear all, this is the 2nd MO for OTG Digital Camera Partner.

Same as previous, I would like to get at least 10 orders first.

Please see the previous MO for pictures and answered questions.
http://forums.clubsnap.org/showthread.php?t=131264

All questions are welcomed but no Banal talk please.

OTG is very useful as it does not need a PC as a host to transfer data (not only images). Allows portable devices to act as a limited host and exchange data directly with each other without requiring a PC to act as the host. Please see pictures below

There are 2 models available (pictures below):
1) Model A3 - LED indications
2) Model A5 - LCD indications

Features :
◎Compatible with USB2.0 and the newest USB2.0 ON-THE-GO specification

◎Provide dual role device function (work as a USB2.0 Host or Device)

◎Easy to copy files from USB devices with one touch button

◎Work directly with USB devices, such as Card Reader, Digital Camera, Thumb Drive and MP3 player...etc.

◎Work as a USB2.0 portable storage

◎Compact size design

◎Built-in LEDs/LCD and Buzzer to indicate detailed working status, file transfer and battery power level

Specification :
◎Interface type - USB 2.0
◎Operation system - Win98SE/ME/2000/XP, Mac OS 9.0 & above
◎Support hard disk - 2.5 inch, H=9.5mm, 5V (Must use FAT 32 format)
◎Battery type - 4 AA size batteries
◎Volume - 130X75X15(mm)
◎Accessories - Battery case, Usb 2.0 cable, Manual, Pouch.

Price :
1) Model A3 - $69 (exclude shipping)
2) Model A5 - $99 (exclude shipping) Model A5 is not available in Singapore yet.

At least ten orders are required
Shipping by DHL is $8 per person within 3 days very fast and safe.

Sim Lim is selling Model A3 at $90 - $100!

Impt Note: NO 2.5" Hdd is included

By adding a 40Gb Hdd you will get a portable Hdd only a little over $200 with the ability to download all your images into the Digital Partner while on move! You can save so much money from buying expensive memory cards and spend it on others e.g lens
It also doubles up as a Hdd for your PC to have extra disk space and a ultra big portable data storage media.

hi,

you are using a brand new Hdd right?
Did your pc detect anything when you plug in your OTG?
If pc can detect use windows explorer to format it

hope this helps....

Hi Mark, Please try the following:

Configuring the Drive Letter under Windows XP Pro

If you are running WinXP Pro, simply to go the Control Panel [switch to Classic View on the left of the screen if you haven't already done so].

Next, double click Administration Tools, and go to Computer Management -> Disk Management; scroll down to the USB hard drive and right click it to get a dialogue window and choose to create a new drive letter.

Once that's done you can format the drive and it will be ready to go.

hope this helps......

I tried the method above, but still not valid.
so I plug in and out many times, till I went to device manager - listed there as USB storage device. (but in my computer drives it does not appear yet)

So I reinstall the (default XP driver) driver for the USB storage. After that I use norton to format it to Fat32.

It works great now..

Hope the above info may be useful to other users.

Ok great!

Hmmm I assume that you have changed your Usb drivers....

The instruction manual on page 8 and 9 has all the details

Do let me know if there are anymore questions.
