Default MO - 50d working lights

BTW, does anyone know if they carry solux locally ? if not.....

http://solux.net/

I'm going to make an order for these halogen bulbs, they at 4700k, but they conform to 50d. 50d is the color of the light used by those viewing cabinet.

For those confused over 50d vs 5000k, please read up on the net, I myself am still trying to understand what's the diff. AFAIK 50d is considered a COLOR, while 5000k white point is the color radiated by a perfect black body at 5000k, WHICH I've read, in the real world, different colors can still give a 5000k reading when measured.

they have it in 50w and 35w, and a few angles of light spread.

https://www.nleinternet.net/solux/cgi-bin/tlistore

click on 4700k, that's the light bulb, they are standard 12v halogen type.
hence you can easily buy the fixtures from like ikea.

If you're interested in purchasing the light bulb, please leave your name on the list

all the bulbs are $7.95 USD,

I suggest we keep to either the 35w 24degrees
or the 50w 24degrees, the rest seems to be too narrow

I'll be transparent here, so here's how I suggest we'll split the bill

X = (Total cost of bulbs) + (shipping) + (gst) + (small markup by me to cover the trouble)

X/number of bulbs = what we'll pay for each bulb.

since all the bulbs cost the same, it's gonna be easy, if you're skeptical about the final cost, I'll try to give an estimate once they give me the cost of shipping.

of couse, this MO will go on only if we can't find any local equivalent I'll hit simlim tower once I have time.

of of couser, pending shipping also, later he give me some crazy rate

Cheers

ok, if you look at most halogen fixtures, they come with an adapter, those on the floow will have a powerbrick, those fixed on the walls or ceiling will also have a powerbrick, just take a look next time you see them. Fixtures are usually sold that way, with the adapter, those without adapters are for 240v lamps.

cheers

Just wondering, after we get the bulbs, how do we know they'll fit our normal lamp screw threads?

They are halogen bulbs, using regular halogen bulb fixtures, think I mentioned this twice in this thread already

well if they'll fit my ikea table lamps (those $12 types), I'll be interested to get 6 to swap out my existing ikea 20W bulbs, . US$7 each right?
