Hi Guys,
I have a little issue here which I'm not quite sure whether it is a D70 or CF card problem. Anyway, here goes... Some NEF files on the Lexar 40X CF card cannot be edited by Nikon Capture 4 and Nikon Editor after copying the files from the CF to the hard disk . It gave a "error opening file" sort of warning. I estimated about 1 out of 10 NEF files had this problem and they occurred in a random order. I did try to re-copy the files again and the same files failed to open. Should I bring the CF card to Convergent Systems? ![]() |

I also got corrupted files with my 40x lexar card - twice already (over 3 months space). The latest one (last week) - my D70 showed CHA . But intermittent - reformat and now appears ok. - Do you think convergent will replace this for me? Now no confident with this card already.

ClubSNAP is a forum for members to share their experience and I fully understand the frustrations when things go wrong. I am not discouraging anyone from posting a product issue they face. In fact its a good thing to share so that people can help out. I have mentioned a lot of times and advised all posters in this forum to be more kind and tactful in their replies. If you can help out with the issues faced by the poster, post your advice and suggestions by all means. But if you have nothing better to offer, try not to post things that may make things worse or sounds more serious than what they can be. Since Carlim has already gotten a call to collect his replacement card, I am closing this thread to avoid any more banal talks. Thanks. |
