Default Here we go again!

Hi all,

Went insect-hunting again, so here are some shots to share.

Equipment used: Fuji S602, + 4 filters, Vivitar 285HV with Omni-bounce.

Comments are most welcome!

These look suspiciously like staged shots!
Do you happen to rear insects in your house??

Btw, how did you get the background for the last 2 shots? Looks too homogeneous to be true.....

haha, no lah, not staged. And i dun keep them at home either.

The background of the 2 pics are natural. They're results of the bokeh effect by using close-up filters or macro lens.

Are you using 2X Hoya +4 or Canon 250D + Hoya +4?

Guess I'll grab another +4 and give it a go one of these days.

I think a single +4 is sufficient.

I'm using 2x HOYA +4 this time round. One is not sufficient.

Don't think so, I have one and it doesn't give that smooth blur even with the background quite far off.

i think the hoya closeup filters introduced some chromatic abberations into the photos.

Yep, can see that...but then again they are like 1/7th of the price of those high quality ones.(250D, B-Macro..)

All were taken outdoor, and background 100% natural. Try using 2 close-up filters (stacked) and you'll achieve the same effect too.
