Default HP Advertisement

Just an observation.

I noticed recently there's this HP advertisement Bar at the top of the page. Whilst I've nothing against advertising to gain revenue for this site, could it be possible that the ad doesn't extend downwards into the text and links? Its kinda disconcerting to have to click on the "x" everytime I need to remove the blocking ad in order to access the words underneath (e.g. private messages etc).

Thanks!

The ad format was stipulated by HP and we are only hosting it in certain sub-forums, not forum-wide (as you may already have noticed).

The ad expansion should only happen when
a) you are using IE; AND
b) you mouseover the ad.

Nevertheless, we take note of your feedback and will include the findings in our considerations for the future.

Ah I see, thanks for the clarification, it really helps as now I know that to avoid it coming down, avoid mouseover-ing it.

Thanks
