Sending Email to Other Members

Is this function not enabled? Under the pull down menu when our ID is moused over, there are no options to send email, unlike how we are able to send PM.

In the public profile section of each user, there is an option to send email but when used, an error msg saying that the user does not want to receive email is displayed. This is despite I have enabled the email option in my own profile.

Admins, any thoughts on this? I personally think email is a better and more efficient method of communication over PM. The PM mailbox is restricted to only 70 msgs and it's rather limiting for my use.

If you check at your http://forums.clubsnap.org/profile.php?do=editoptions

You will notice there's an option: "You can allow other members to send you email messages."

All members can choose between "Receive Email from Other Members" or "Not to" by selecting the Tick box.

To be able to send email to any user, those particular users who you are sending to have to have that Option enable.

So, if you atre not able to send any email to any particular users, it is cause he/she has selected " Not to Receive Email from Other Members"

I did refer to this option in my first post. In my profile it is turned on but when I attempt to send an email to myself, I get a msg say this user does not wish to be contacted via email.

Guess this is a bug that hasn't been addressed.

Its not a bug. The "Email to member" feature is currently turned off. I will need to check the reason why it was turned off (back when we started the forums so can't really remember the reason now) and revert.
