So when will that be?? Exact location, time?? The fireworks?? It's rather a pity I didnt manage to take any firework pics this NDP but this year fireworks was not good either. Duration isToo short and the effects are rather smoky.

Missed the other fireworks at Chinese garden two weeks ago...too

If you are talking about the merlion one, the event over liao lar, it's today evening.

The esplanade one will be on 12/10 I tink.

Went for the event, not bad, the merlion park is quite nicely done i must say.

The fireworks was fired from a barge at the mouth of the singapore river, just slightly further out than the merlion. Pity i didn't have a wide angle lens

Will try to u/l some pics if I can get the time to go through them.

i heard frm AMDER the fireworks at the merlion was beutiful...... no choice got to give face to the lees....haha...

maybe you can try shooting frm the sheares bridge.....

The official opening of the durian is on 12-10-2002. There will be fireworks display.

There is another event, the Mid-Autumn Festival at Singapore River on 21/09/2002. There will be fireworks display too.

Just miss the Merlion opening ceremony fireworks, I'm planning for the 21/09/2002. Anyone interested?

I'm thinking whether the open space across 1 Fullerton (accessible by Marina City Park) is a good spot?

This Saturday, 21 Sep 02, come down to the Singapore River for a Mid Autumn

Fiesta!

Highlights include shows by mediacorp artistes, a children's lantern
procession, the floating of thousands of lillies on the river, glorious
dances by luminous dragons on the waters of the Belly of the Carp, giant
flag displays, a Chinese-drum extravaganza and lion dances galore! Capped
off with spectacular fireworks off the top of the Fullerton - something for

all to enjoy! Game stalls and Food stalls selling all kinds of Mid-Autumn
Goodies add to the festive atmosphere!

So keep the 21 Sep in mind for a time for the family! Dragon and lion
dance performances by the Singapore Wushu Federation commence at 7.45 pm.
The fireworks display begins at 9.30 pm.
