[QUOTE=Dream Merchant;8650489]Kit, I can't describe in any exact words how the A7 renders images, but I do know it looks very interesting!

In some cases, when shot wide open, the results sometimes appear slightly ethereal!

I only have the 35mm FE 2.8 lens, and ALL these shots were done with this lens.

Anthony Lee, would be fantastic, but I have only limited time with this camera, one lens only and a tight schedule.

Very quickly, some shots from today.

Just simply fauna some shot wide open, and some stopped down to as much as 16 to test the diffraction reduction of the Bionz X processor.

Finally some attention given to the cheaper bro. Most had focused on the a7r which is too ex for me.

Hehe thanks a lot and the samples are looking good !

Too bad the kit lens was not tested. But thanks again for the early preview

If A7 wif d low pass filter is already so sharp n high res, A7R will b crazy razor sharp. Maybe abit OTT I feel. Advantage of d A7 is still d PDAF for fast street shoot n ability to use RF UWA lenses without much purple cast on d edges. I'll go A7 anytime.

I have to admit that even after a few shots, do your part and the A7 delivers really sharp, crisp images!

What's really nice is the way the lens/sensor renders detail and textures. I'm really starting to like it!

Was too busy yesterday, so just a few grab shots. Nothing pretty, but shows the capabilities of the A7 and the Zeiss 35mm FE 2.8 lens.

The A7 AWB does a splendid job with fluorescent light.

And Tungsten light in these two shots

And areas where there is a very dominant colour

SARS have posted more positive comments on the A7r, especially those against the Leica M. Yes, can't wait to see some tests here.

As Kit mentioned, about metallic (and reflective) surfaces, the A7 does an interesting job rendering these.

I haven't had the chance to try out C-AF yet, but will give it a try soon if I have the A7 longer.

    Cheers! :-)

Ack to many sites there is a diff in build quality between A7 and A7R.

A7 has Plastic top buttons, knobs, and a plastic front panel. ( A7R is all Magnesium Metal pr machined alloy. )

They also have a diff shutter sound, A7R more harsh / metallic sounding.

Also the A7 is better for wider lenses than 28mm.... whereas the A7R is a resolution monster with 35mm and beyond lenses.

    Pls advise on this ???

The different build quality is known since day one, no preview failed to mention it. There are videos online with the different shutter sounds and so are test shots with wider adapted lenses.
