Default New watch, given wrong box

I recently bought a new watch in Dubai but was given the wrong box (same brand but for another model)
Only discover this when I saw a same watch with box online.
Will the wrong box affect the resale value?

Any watch expert or 2nd dealer can advise.
    Thanks a lot in advance.

Better than right box, wrong watch (lousier model).
But this is very strange. Instead of enjoying wearing the new watch, the buyer is worried about selling it already!

You can try emailing the outlet you bought the watch in when you were in Dubai.

I'm sure it's possible they will find a way to get the correct box to you.

Its good to hear that the problem was solved.

The take-home advice is to do your homework thoroughly before making a purchase. Few months ago, I was hunting for a Panerai and it was amazing to find out that some people do take a few hundred dollars off a used Panerai without the original outer paper box! Original Panerai comes with 3 boxes(outer paper box, cardboard box and a wooden box). Some retailers and boutiques actually throw the paper boxes away!

I have been buying and re-selling watches for years now, 1st time such a mistake has happened.
True that is a good lesson for me to be more sharp in future

So did you get your Panerai??

Years ago I too considered buying a Panerai Submersible for daily wear.
However I realized that due to its popularity the watch is getting too common and flashy.
Instead I purchased a more subtle and least common watch the 'Ploprof 1200', its still on my wrist now.

Actually most people will trust the AD to give the right box. There are more important things to check and inspect when getting the watch. TS is probably unlucky. So far I haven't encountered such issues. Only the occasional European AD that don't want to give certain tags or white cupboard boxes for Rolex.

Omega... It is an impressive watch, but I have always wondered how would one wear such a watch? I'm certainly no diver, and I wouldn't think it would go on a suit either. Even as a casual wear time piece, it's really quite bulky.

But to the topic, I believe most AD will set things right. I can't imagine them being embarrassed for too long.
