Hi, I'll be heading to Australia over the next few months and I intend to take some outdoor shots as well as indoor. I intend to get filters to better the quality of the photo. Can anyone recommend which filters I should invest in? |

The sun in Australia is extremely harsh during the late spring through to mid autumn, so the following filters are highly recommended.
Polarizing filters - Circular (C-PL) for AF and Linear for non AF cameras. Neutral Density (ND's) An ND 4 or ND 6 is ideally suited for use in Australia to slow the shutter speeds down when needed (eg: waterfalls, flash fill etc) ND Grad - Ideal for sunsets and general landscape photography. If you're shooting B/W film an X0, R25, Y2 and G are recommended. Cross Screen. Gives those nifty 4 point crosses from intense light sources and reflections. Not essential but can be used to good advantage with water shots. Closeup Filters: If you don't have a true macro lens, consider a set.
