Oh did someone said it's arty shows? hehe..

Great. With casinos and arty nude shows, how "fun" can Singapore be? Hmm..
how more fun can singaporeans be with bar top dancing, IRs and crazy horse around? i am doubtful. singaporeans' sense of fun has been relegated to such low priority that we are known to be funless place with funless people. how did we get ourselves into such a position??

The thing is, with its great performance, can Crazy Horse sell by itself without a casino attached? Or we needed a casino to fuel performances like those in Las Vegas and Theme Park, Wonderland type of Resort?

We could have them many years ago with or without casino.

I do not think that these 'fun' activities are aimed for Singaporeans. Foreigners will pay lots of money to see such shows in an Asian country.

Slightly Out of Topic... I feel that the days of the beer advert where a white guy with and Asian chick and Asian man with a white girl are making a come back. I have absolutely no problem with inter-racial relationships. I just hope that we do not portray our country as a possible mail order bride country. I have read some expat forums who's comments on our 'local wildlife (female)' are really demeaning. So much for the prejudged romantic foreign men.

But if you look at the whole picture, you can see that way back, there were already plans heading to improving our tourism. From the establishment of City Circle, more taxi companies, bar-top dancing, acceptance of queer etc.

I'm not for gambling, but I must admit that it would draw in the crowd. Foreign crowd.

You are right and it really makes me wonder.

Anyway, queer does not necessarily mean trans. As a show, people will pay to watch trans on stage, but for gays (this term includes women too), most of us already know one or two ourselves, so no need to pay to see them. But as you have pointed out, so long as imported gays can contribute to Singapore's economy, there will minimum restrictions. Hey! Maybe we could even hold a party for them in Sentosa and intro them to our locals. Maybe that would help announce to the world that we are an accepting society.

Anyway, from the tourism's point of view, I'm sure the trans from the old Bugis will be invited back to stage a show?

BTW, can anyone enlighten me what the HELL is Crazy Horse?

Some kinda transvesite show? Dance show? Erotic Dancing? Thai-girl show? Circus Group? A name of a horse at Kranji Race Course?

I was using ignorance-suggested sarcasm lah. But actually, blaming groups of people for the spread is not a good idea. Generalises Singaporeans as a homophobic society. Of course, undeniably and understandably, some of us are very much so.
