Concentrate on the EPL. As Gerrard said...the only medal that he had not won with Liverpool is EPL, and may be World Club Cup as well.

After all...he is speaking to the press to ask for club coming after him.

Quoted from the article "Anything can still happen, I can still leave. This possibility is not eliminated. "

    Full article .............

Both Lyon and Valencia attempted to sign Baros this summer, but neither move materialised.

Baros is now calm about his future and insists that every major club needs four strikers and that he is ready to fight the likes of Fernando Morientes and Djibril Cisse for a first team place.

The Czech star was asked whether he was disappointed about the failure to secure a move away from the club.

"There is no reason to be disappointed," he explained.

"Anything can still happen, I can still leave. This possibility is not eliminated.

"I did not want to hurry something and also that is why I remain at Liverpool.

"I have been here for three and half-a-years and I am satisfied.

"I still work for Liverpool and I want to do my best for them.

"Liverpool are going to play the league, two domestic cups and the Champions League. We are going to play approximately 70 matches and there are also the international duties.

"You can't play this amount of matches with the same two strikers.

"Every club has four high quality strikers, so there is no reason to be afraid.

"I will fight for the position and if it goes well, I will be happy. If not, we are going to resolve the situation with my agent."

although old dog..but still can doa trick. he can be like our Lit few years ago.

When the scoreline is 1-1, and we are playing at home for 3points, Figo is good to be sub in at 65th. HE still can create some wonder touch...although his pyhsical nowadays could not match the full 90min of the high tempo EPL games.

Would be useful if he can play in European Game and to pass some experience to the youngester.

BUt he must take a major pay cut...we are no charity society to food his $$$$$$ bill.

A big name player like Figo joining would be good. But it seems that Liverpool only wants Figo if there is no transfer fee involved.

    Figo sets to join Liverpool

I guess Liverpool will be paying Figo a high salary, maybe close to what they are paying Gerrard. Thats why they would prefer to get Figo on a free transfer.

wa say, mixed feelings over his capture.

i hope he'll not be a disruptive influence in the team.

If he can play with the same passion he did for Porrtugal during Euro 2004, then he can be a major influence for the team. However, I really wonder how much is Liverpool paying him....AND WHY STILL NO NEW SIGNING FOR DEFENDERS ???

I think Figo is ok... I always feels that he's the type that have competitive drive. Look at how he drives the Portugal national team...

His fitness may be down a bit and quickness no there.. but he is still a very good player, esp for freekicks which we s*cks! Moreover, he's more of a conventional winger and can player as secondary striker or in the hole. Overall, should be a good capture. 2m pound can't even buy wayne routeledge and Real paid 37m pound for Figo 5 years ago... not a bad piece of business.

Liverpool prob pays about the same as Gerrard, not more. We will keep to this wage structure. So my guess will be 100,000 pound/week tops.

As for defenders, most likely and frequently mentioned are Upson and Milito... Both shd be good.

    its a risky deal.
understand he's looking for 2 yrs contract.
likely in the region of 90k a week? surely he has to take a pay cut?

i just hope he dun moan and groan that often to the English press.

by the way, i felt extremely sorry over the blast incident in London, England. pray that all will be well very soon.

for me..we have let go Pelle (thanks God)...I would give a chance for Whitebred to senior team.

and we are going to let go Josemi (thanks God)...and we have Barragan to cover Finnan. And we have a superb RB to cover for Finnan as well. Remember gerrard was playing RB at the last 20 min in the match vs AC milan ?

we could not really get some players as defender (CB)....i think we still can tahan for 1 season.

May be at Jan tranfer window.

if u are playing as winger and lack of physcial level to compete in EPL..u will find no where to play for EPL.

Look at MU Ronaldo+Giggs, Chelsea Duff+Robben....u will know why.

As i said..he can be the play maker..but not playing full 90m. Unless he is only playing the most 1 game a week.

both are and shall be good. I think we have to sell before we can buy.
If Diouf and Diao confirmed.....then we have to fund to buy.

Wonder why no one coming in for the Dancing Queen Dudek ??? I tot at least Dudek had impressed AC MIlan ??

I just feel that Figo is not really worth 100,000 pounds/week, if thats what Liverpool is paying him.

If we are buying CD, prob shd buy now in case cup-tied like Pelle... Unless is player like Upson, then maybe only tied for FA & league cup still ok but definitely not CL.

i dun think whitbread is ready for 1st team yet.. maybe gradually play him as subs and in league cup ties.

even Pelle could be playing for near 4months senior football..(with his pace ..he really should go to play senior football)..i think Whitebred could not be any worse..

I could still remember he was being tricked by Zenden in the match against Boro and he tried to turn and run..then just fall down without much he can do.

Luckily we have Zenden this season and no more Pelle.

Should give chance to Whitebred , Potter, Welseha and Sinama more playing opportunity in FA and League CUp.

Even talent also need a platform to perform and advance from there.

I agree we must play youngsters like how we involved Warnock last season... but dun throw them into deep end when they are not ready. It may affect their confidence. Of the youngsters, i think all are very good and i hope Mellor can develop into a good striker. Sinama also very quick and tricky but too small size.

for me...mellor is not youngsters anymore..if he is not ready..probably he can;t make it liao..and the potential is up.

Sinama need to score more and assist-on-goal more often..just twist and flick the ball looks good but hardly justify for himself long term or a regular under Rafa.

size does matter..but whether small size or big size is good....it depend how u play the style that suit u to best.. it is not a definately good or bad..

romario and bebeto were once most lethal striking partner in the world. also one of the shortest pair

Care to introduce yourself....I think FAS will be interested to appoint u as techincal director.

Mourinho can offer 32M is bcos $$$ is not an issue for him, what he needs is to get the player he want.
Why u never see MU or Asernal or others club make an offer?? Only Real & Chelsea can afford that. And bcos of them, the transfer fee is getting out of control.
Just imagine if SG is with other club and Liverpool wanted to sign him, do u agree he worth 40M???? Do you support Liverpool to pay 40M for him????
