I like the #1, like the way you had made use of the picture and the "description" of it!

I like #2 & #3... great details , somehow the trees blur caused by long exposure. D70 ???

Resize with "Save for Web" in PS to 800 x 600 (just enter 800 in PS will auto fit) first then upload to photobucket. I have no problems with it.

Nope, did not see any hotspot on this lens....I think we should have the same setup, i will try it with the 72mm with the step down and post you the results.

And my crack R72, finally show up on my photos...

so the conclusion is when i used it on the 50mm f1.8, the crop factor have actually cropped away the chip off part....

f8-11 ISO 100....

actually if i want, i can go down to about 5-10s, not necessary 30s

still got some stops to compensate.

Hi,

Check out the IR sub forum here in CS. Everything you want to know is there.
Hope to see you in future IR outings.

Cheers

We are all pretty newbies to these....there are also a couple of filter that you can use to get this effect. the filter is actually just to block out the invisible light that our eyes can see. Most of us here is using Hoya R72 filter.

there is a sticky on the subforum on how to actually start you off. it should be quite easy. as least Xsys had manage to do it and had produces excellent results. do give it a try and the best way is to join us for outing.

those camera that are not listed there does not mean that they are not able to take IR photos...it is just that we dun have a chance to test on those camera....mind to join us and test your camera??

what you can do is to do a remote control test. take a snapshot of the remote light with one of the button of the remote depressed. if you can see the IR light, mean you are able to shoot IR....if it doesn;t appeared, it again will not mean cannot, maybe a longer exposure will help, at least for my case is...my 20D does not register a remote light.
