I think I prefer the colours in the original, but the mood of the PS'ed one is nice too.

Yup....i was actually travelling on a ferry while taking the picture. And it was since the sea was a bit rough I found it a bit hard to hold my camera steady....

in the photoshop version of the pic, i tried to rectify this by rotating the pic a little bit....

I would say this shot has not much of a prob... except, almost everyone who has taken the ferry at midday has taken such a shot (including me). A different view or lighting would generate better interests.

How about this one? I couldn't get the effect of what I saw at that time but it didnt turn out to be as bad as I though it would....

i think you hit the conversion spot on in the first photo. the shot may not be the most interesting, but the conversion is sweet. any tips?

No worries mate.. we're all here to learn...

The nite shot was something rather different; the intentional flare attracts more attention than the actual opera house instead, especially when seen as a thumbnail, which may result in curiosity from someone like me and to enlarge it.

IMHO, you should crop away most the bottom and sides and just leave the opera house. Others may have different views..

Hi all,

It's quite an understatement that all who visited Syndey would have taken some shots of the Opera House. Here's one of mine done as oil pointing using PS.

sriharic,
Did u take a cruise along Paramatta? It's quite a long cruise but rather serene.
I also feel that the side shots of the Opera House can be better taken from across or from the bridge. If from cruise, better to take other aspects of the House House such a your night shot.
