I started of this new thread for ease of nomination.

These are the nominated personnels so far.

1) Virgo
Idol of many Clubsnappers, bascially he has a lot of supporters in the forum. Should I say that he is 'Singapore Idol'?

2) Mpenza
One of Moderators of Clubsnap.

3) SniperD
Professional Photographer?

4) espn
Die-hard Nikon Fan.

5) nightwolf75
Used to be a white knight but have joined the dark side a few weeks ago.
Understanding / good knowledge of both systems.

Yo bro, thanx much for the nomination. I'm not sure since when I've become an idol. Don't think I can commit as much time to CS as I used to, although I'd like to one day.

So please remove my name from your list of nominated mods. For those who supported me, I sincerely thank you.

Will still come in ka jiao ka jiao, post some pics and ask for comments lah...

Hi USM, how abt yourself. Would like to nominate you as the Moderator for the Canon sub forum. Your knowledge on Canon gears and photography skills are as good as the rest, or even better.

Why not give it a shot. I believe other Canongraphers would agree too.

Case in point... what happens if there is a nikon vs canon war? Would the moderator jump on the side of Canon or would he/she be able to take totally neutral points of view.

So in this case, I say do not have a moderator and let things be. In this way, everyone can list out their views and it would be up to individuals to take what is said inside the subforum.
Seem quite sensible....

Cheers,

Why not? We have not hear from the other nominees except Virgo (who has kindly declined).

I guess most of us here are still "learning", it's good that we have a moderator that gives constructive & neutral opinions, not the BUY BUY BUY sort. I always believe that it's the person not the tool. This is what I like about the Canon forum.

Hope you can give it a try.

Hey USM,

I must say I am quite impressed with your initiative and organizational skills -- calling the 1st "CUG" (now CanonGraphers) meeting, organizing the 1st outing and arranging the sequence of lens testing, etc.

Plus, the ppl know you by face now and get can put the nick with the person. And you have been both a Canon & Nikon user, so it's the best of both worlds.

So you get my vote on being Mod!

Rightly pointed Ykia! USM can do it. Pls give it a shot USM. Personally, I saw your enthusiasm and the initiative during the CanonGrapher's first meeting which should stand you in good stead as a Moderator. USM for Moderator!!

Thank you guys for your kind words and nomination.

However, I rather be the organiser for CanonGraphers Outings, sharing knowledge of photography, having fun with fellow CanonGraphers, and to assist TechMage in promoting Canon than be a Moderator.

There are some guys who will be unhappy if I am elected as a Moderator. You know who you are. (making false accusations on me). This is getting political, and I don't like to play politics.

I would suggest a more 'Senior' person to be the Moderator.

ya . USM has a point there. he can be organiser and IC of outings..but pushing him to be moderator will be too extreme a change. agree that we need some more "established" person to be mod

I guess that this question should be answered by our Admin Simon since he was the one who suggested it. Let not speculate.

Nikon has 3 mods. As one of the biggest, if not the biggest sub camera forum, I suppose having more mods would be helpful and less stressful on the lone mod here

Why not all of us follow the Rules and Regulations, then there's no need for moderators?
