Haha... Just look at K30 and K5iiS... Imagine merging them together with slight tweaking and there you have it..
Easier for you to decide before it launches..

from combining a worm into T-Rex! Looks like we got creative people thinking too much but we shall see next week what is the outcome, no point talking about FF being cheap when people make others a scapegoat to fund for FF

    I think how about that,

A APSC sensor, but it can shift to take 4 shots, and merge into a full frame sensor size image,

since K mount is full frame, FA lens can cover the full ciricle , shift half way to left, right, top, bottom to cover the full circle area.

just like panorama image, if you dont have a full frame or large format, shift sensor to fake one,

at least good for landscape photographer already,

    Dual card slot!

    Yep talking about camera output!

in terms of primes. a lot of ppl demand fast constant f/2.8 zooms. not that I think that everyone needs that but that's how it is really.

For sigma and third party lenses, I think we all know that they can leave k mount out sometimes. I do wish that we could have the option of the Tokina 11-16 for example. I won't use it because it's not 10 mm but it's a popular lens.

That's an interesting concept- is it real?

If so, there's no need to stick to aps-c. Should also work for smaller sensor as well, like micro 4/3 doing this should easily get a pic nearly FF too.

The guessing game is almost coming to an end. It is tentatively aps-c and not ff. Don't give up hope yet there may be a surprise. The K3 image and specifications stated may not be the real one. Everything is speculative until now.

Pentax APSC's and Full frame's k mount share the same amount of project circle, like the one sensor is big and one sensor is small, the mirror box is same size, while m43, the design itself can't put a ff sensor size in the body, then no matter how it shifts, the internal body size limits the movement, while limit m43 to use this technique to get ff size.

    another example,
like Sony NEX series, when they design NEX series camera, they planed and make it suitable for full frame size sensor as well, thus if you put aps-c sensor it, it got room to shift to cover the full frame area. (like NEX full frame cam corder)

but m43 is not designed at the starting point to accommodate full frame sensor, then it wont have sufficient room for it to move the sensor around too much.

.....only hope that they will keep the price realistic ..... for an aps-c camera .....

Its possible but I don't know about it being in-camera automatically for k3.
We can already do this manually using the composition shift function.
