Default Sigma 28-105mm F2.8-4 or Sigma 18-125mm F3.5-5.6 DC BIG DILEMMMMA !!!!

Hi guys ! Newbie here , I'm looking forward to change my original 18-55 II lenses on my Canon 350D (what a camera !), now, the problem is this, I'm looking for a versatile, good quality lense wich can be able to cover a wide 17mm to at least 80mm, here are my choises:

Sigma 28-105mm F2.8-4
Sigma 18-125mm F3.5-5.6 DC

What you suggets me to chose, considered that, the 28-105 has a good luminosity ! (2.8 is 2.8, really good ) but lacks of a real wide!!! this case a will have to change any time with my original 18-55 to use a wide . The second choice the Sigma DC 18-125 wich seems to be very nice, also covers focals that I really need, but... not so "lighty" , (3,5-5,6), the price is similiar let's say a max of 250 Euro. I'd slighty tend to chose the second one but I'm not so sure just about its aperture, will it penalize me ? on the other hand I will not have to change lenses anytime I need a wide so confused, and besides that, the 18-125 seems to be constructively more "accurate" , with 2 aspherical lenses and 1 SLD glass... dunnnnnno!!!

Help me guys !!!

Go for 18-125 but test it out at the shop first. I've seen very sharp copies (QA is not 100% consistent). You could get round the 1-stop or less difference by upping the ISO if required.

The Sigma 18-125mm F3.5-5.6 DC is very sharp indeed. I have it and love it. The range is really impressive. If you don't mind using flash indoors, then the aperture of f3.5 to f5.6 should not be a problem. Besides, the 350D can push up the ISO without much noice.

No experience with the Sigma 28-105mm F2.8-4.....
