    Found the above plate at Ebay.
    More read up of details HERE

    Can DIY if got the correct tools.
    Don't know is it usefull or not..

    Not sure is it useful anot but the plate seems a little small. FZ20 is not resting fully one the plate and adding the plate increses the height between the plate to the tripod so the moment acting on the joints will be larger. Wonder will it wear off the thread faster.

    If the plate can acts like a baynet mount just click in to the tripod, maybe that will be great instead of having to screw and screw.

    From the read-up, it said the plate purpose is to place the tripod head
    near the center of the barrel, enable access to the battery/SD door
    when mounted and mounting of customs made external batt case.

    GREAT! was thinking of making something similar so that can remove batt/sd card, now got the idea liao

    hmm this gives me an idea. I think you can use the bracket for those external flash, cheaper alternative.

    the workmanship and finishing seem bad..

    dominator --> u in PE industries also ??

    only if you need them they are useful.
    PE as in production engineering?
    me in pharmaceutical manufacturing but have our machining workshop with milling, lathe...etc.
