Default Bugis Junction - Unstoppable fun with water

Captured these few shots late last year at Bugis Junction. Kind of like 'fire'works with water.

Thanx kjmedora and Zaren. Snapped #1 at 200mm 1/13s f2.8 with built in flash of -1EV. Handheld and non VR, very lucky

Like your 1st and 3rd pics.
You handheld at 1/13s? Wouldn't the pictures be blur?

Yes. Handheld at 1/13s in fact for all the 3 shots, no kidding. If you observe carefully the boy's foot in #2 is a little blur. For #3, you see the trails due to the slow shutter. Of course I have thrown away all the blur ones.

Flash was necessary to freeze the moment at the instant the shutter closed. By the way, the cam was set at rear curtain sync. Steady hands, holding your breadth and slow triggering is a must

1st shot is just fantastic... like the colour and how it turned out....
especially the fire like shape at the center of the palm.... and how it all blend in with the water.... very nice....

#1 is very impressive!
without e water hitting e hand, it would otherwise be quite a normal pic,
with e hand and the array of water splashes~
