Default Flash

Hi,

Can someone please advise how do i know what is good enough for my G5? SpeedLite 420? I also heard that the flash and the camera needs to sync up so that it is able to produce the right amount of light for the shoot. If I am not wrong , it might be the ttl or e-ttl something like that.

What other brand of flash is able to work with the G5?

Go for Canon Speedlite, I heard many cases whereby 3rd party flash doesnt work very well on Powershot G series.

420EX is enuff for your G5, 550 or 580EX might be too heavy your ur G5.
