Default EF 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 DO IS USM

Anyone using this lens?

How is it?

I like it for its compact compared to the 70-200mm....seems not bad for a travel lens..

would $1.7k be a good price for a grey set? the small side makes it tempting

Oh yes definitely. For the size, I'd like to have one. What's the price of a warranty set?

Have tried it before. Handling and picture quality is pretty good. With the extra 100mm in focal length, it sure is an advantage over the 70-200. Of course the picture qualit can't compare to the L lah.

Not very sharp, lacks contrast, overpriced and damn hard to resell on the 2nd hand market if you change your mind on it.
