Hi everyone,

Anyone know about this new lens from Nikon? Comments on quality/sharpness/performance and of course the price?

No worries, I actually wanted to bring you to a thread but I was too lazy to scroll to the back, so I just dunked you everything.

I used to own this piece of glass too,

What made you sell it? Money problems or performace poor?

Nope, it's a very good piece of glass. I sold it because I needed something else that this glass cannot provide me, which is speed.

Apart from all else, I'm very pleased with it's AF-S construction and VR module. This baby has let me gotten shots at incredible handheld speeds at night without using flash.

On a DX body, it's 36-180 FOV, which is essentially a normal type of zoom glass. Some might complain at f/5.6 it's slow, but I think it's pretty resonable responsive and fast.

Downside is that the f/5.6 kicks in around 75mm But glad VR compensates it. Some may be skeptical about it after using the older AF 24-120 version, but I think this glass although is nothing great, but still beats the hell out of the older none-AFS version of it.
