G'day all!! I purchased a D70s recently, my previous one was a G5. Hehehe, I've defected to Nikon!

Here to say hi and hope to practice my shots at outings!

It's been 2 days and I still haven't really figured out the camera yet... especially SB800

Gotta read the manual inside out, more than once if necessary.
Then go out with fellow nikon users for practice shoots. From there you will grow into the system and understand it. It's a never ending learning journey.

Dust in viewfinder - I got mine cleaned at Nikon SC... took them 8 working days... OMG
Will NPS members get faster service? If so, i will go apply for NPS membership. Can't stand their sluggish service.

The camera is under warranty so why would you need to send to send to anywhere else?
The location of the Service Centre is not quite consumer-friendly though.

talked to 1 uncle last week about DSLR, den he using Nikon film body... after seeing digital, he decided to get a D70s, cos i told him the cost of a D2H & such... comparison... vague 1...

btw i think i gave him some wrong info today, cos he ask me where to get D70s besides Cathay, so i told him about Lords... dunno if he know how to go anot... den gave him the wrong price, i thought D70s is about 1.8k... , worse is kit lens with D70 cost 2k+...

Isn't it better to alight at Redhill station since it's nearer?
Anyway, that was what I did the last time I went there.
The Service Centre is just about 10mins walk from the station.
