Had a crappy flu last week after an auntie sneezed at my shoulder + under the rain and shine.
Felt terrible on the 1st day. Shivering the 2nd. Took lots of vit c (a website actually recomended 8, 000 mg!!) 1-2k MG, some garlic and panadol flu. Works wonders was mostly cured on the 1 1/2th day. 3rd day, I was running a marathon. Still have some cough+cold though, but the lethargic feeling, flu bugs, etc gone within 2days.
Antihistamines doesn't mix well with alcohol, makes you say bye bye to one's liver. Get lots of excercise is good too. Or try some ozzie cure of beer+cola (can't cfm it works, doubt, prob only makes u feel better being intoxicated).

Rest and drink more, no, lots of water...

Something like 1L per hour is about there.. You'll be visiting the toilet quite often though.. But it works.. Once you starting purging the clear stuff out, your system is more or less flushed..

Vitamin C helps a little too..

i would listen to this advice though.

flu - sufficient rest + water

medicine can only relieve the symptoms.

    Thanks again everyone
Woke up just as usual......blew my nose, and found traces of blood dried or diluted with mucus. Should I make abstract out of it?
Now I am not sure I am down with flu or sick in da head

I think you may have blown your nose too often, too hard. Take it easy.

As for your original question, I would recommend seeing a TCM doctor. 3 days, and 2/3rd of the problem is gone... Another 3 days to fully recover for me. Mind you, that includes acupuncture and rest and all that.

Since you're in Melb, the season's achanging. Ask the doctor to give something for the lungs as well for the winter. The last time I did, there was almost no fear of cold over winter and even 1.5 year after, no fear of server rooms

As the saying goes. The doctor will take a fortnight to cure your flu and you yourself can cure it in two weeks' time.
So, you need not do anything....take plenty fluid and rest and don't go running.

Sorry to hear that, mine is not so bad.....but blocked nose and stuffy head and ears is enough to prevent me working to the full capacity my works due in three days
So many things happened some more.....Shits all come in one
I think being positive help alot.....kept telling myself. it will be over soon..... meanwhile, do the works bits by bits.....
