i used to go to jalan kayu quite a bit (long before it became very famous). But now the standard has dropped like crazy!!!! Hardly eat prata and Indian food nowadays. But I reckon "The Prata Shop" at Teacher's Estate is quite good. Out of the way though.

Well, I find the one opp Bukit Timah Shopping Centre seem to be the best. But if going there avoid Fri, Sat night, very crowded. Got to wait 30 to 45min for your food.
The newly opened shop at Toh Yi Drive also great!

The one at the kopitiam near the prime supermarket in Tampines central is nice, plus the chinese mutton soup is super!

Just don't have them both at the same time, sure nose bleed one!

In Malay, it is spelled 'murtabak'.

If you ask me, for the best murtabak you should go to either one of the 2 stalls in front of the Sultan Mosque (along North Bridge Road, next to Golden Landmark).
