an experienced photographer once taught me that there are only four stages in photography

    1. interest stage
    2. learning stage
    3. exploring stage
    4. expressing stage

i can't remember the exact words for the last stage, but it's the stage when one becomes a competent photographer. he mentioned that most people can stay at stage 3 for many many years, even decades, and never reaching the last stage (few would)

What is expert and what is photographer.

There are alot of people here in the forum who "act" like an expert.

Default hello to all newbie ...

For those claimed to be newbie, ... if you really want to improve, then dun turn your face into black black immediately when some exprienced photographer comments on your work. Talk dragon talk phoenix no use one, remember this ad few years back? "People know much, talk little"

For those claimed to be very pro one ... if now i pass you a fully manual camera, with a roll of slide, will you start to sweat?
Actually hor ... i also will sweat ... haha .... cos i also a newbie.

I dun talk good english here, cos i am not acting as a pro lor ...

Some of those who called themselves "Newbies" in photo forums I've come across are big bullies too.

So you Newbie who requests us not to bully you please don't bully us. And no bully here will bully any bully.

We haven't sufficient circumstantial evidence for you yet. But we would spend the next 12 months interviewing 300 CSers to accumulate proofs.
