The central message: the whole purpose of working hard and attaining "progress" is so that you will need to work harder still to maintain the "progress".

I thought the comic is supposed to be funny? Never thought of it as loaded.

But, if that is what The Majority of Singaporeans want, what can public servants do but to grant them their wish. Unless they forget that they are public servant.

Nah... that would be populist and weak. The masters of the servants will not be pleased.

Mmmm if that Cartoon is... then shouldn't all those 'FT/FW' coming to take over our Job, causing Property Price to rise, threads in our local forum, be considered as 'Fear Mongering' too ??

Maybe I have a warped sense of humour, but this seems like a tongue in cheek comment about the trade-offs taken to extremities.

It's a comic. It's humour. It's er, not meant to be taken seriously? Compared to the brimstone and fire that are conjured up sometimes in the forums... I don't see why we are lumping the two together. For one, I'd wager that Adam Lee would probably just laugh it off if he gets comments on fear-mongering, whereas the "Singapore-is-Hell" pushers will go through all sorts of antics, e.g. write long essays to you if you disagree with them, if you're unlucky you might get those that like to dig up your name, your family, background and post about it, either in a cryptic fashion or just plain in-your-face style.. The list goes on.
