Remember reading in an article abt this issue. When they switched to veg oil.. pple could not associate it with the prev type of fries.. too white and not yummy (tasty) enough.. so they 'experimented' with the oils to achieve the current state of fries... (pls don't quote me on this)

Of course they do need authorisation from the management when they need to launch some new stuffs, but that is a different story altogether from cost cutting.

I still remember my very first burger from McDonald's. The Hamburger. The beef patty was pretty thick and juicy and it only cost about S$0.80! Now, it is dry and feels like paper.

Got a bit sick of eating Mac. So change to BK or KFC.

But cut cost until it jeopardize their quality of food... That is a big risk there... They actually lose customers to their competitors. Now, if given a choice between McDonald's and Burger King, I will choose Burger King.

And if I have to vote, McDonald's will be at the most bottom in my list.

I agree that quality should be top of the list. But money can drive people crazy, may be their management is already so.

I remember when the first Mac opened at Liat Tower.. when I was in the queue waiting for my first bite of the infamous Big Mac... trust me, in those days, they were big!!

I do miss Wendy burgers too

Why should they change a winning strategy? Judging from the way McD's are still continuing to mushroom all over the place, I don't think they're worried about losing customers to BK and such. Everyone still goes back to McD's eventually, if not for their great food, but for the convenience cause they're everywhere!

Yar, this one no doubt. They are everywhere. But let's say given all equal number of franchise throughout Singapore, what would Singaporeans go for? Hmm...

McDonald's is a crime against food. It should be locked up and have the key thrown away!! For good!!!

Ha ha ha ha ha. Imagine, you in a McDonald's restaurant, forcing yourself with the food and you heard their jingle, "I'm loving it!", you look at your food and I wonder how you will feel? Ha ha ha ha ha!
