Default eco

got 2 dry boxes that failed to work
sealed up the rear air vents.
used eco inside.
got to plug in ac to heat up silica gel inside eco maybe once per mth.
do not open and close dry box often.
good to keep things like filters in dry box.
for cameras, use a proper dry box.

Default taiwan made eco dry

not a dumb question.

I took the risk and bought 2.
cheap actually.
they work!

I bought separate humidity meter to double check.
once closed, can even bring down to 32% RH.

just recharge once in a while.
no big deal.
for simple things like filters and negatives, slides can keep in box with eco dry.

when wet they turn pink in slot window.
then just plug in few hours and put back inside dry box

Default box

I use the old dry cabinet that is not working anymore.

any box that is airtight will do.

Agreed on the point that for cameras, use a proper electronic dehumidifier where the humidity can be adjusted i.e 45-55%.

Bought eco-dry from EastGear sometime back. Threw them into dry box for keeping my coins collection. Very lasting if box is for keeping things that are seldom used. Eco-Dry
