Hi people,
Am thinking of getting some accesory for Sony W1 and would like to ask for suggestion on it. Is W1 good for marco? Cause it does not have manual forcus rim like other camera? Saw someone selling the marco lens , whole set only $20 , really cheap. Loved to use W1 to take landscape especially at night, so wish to buy a 37mm WC lens. Anyone have any recommendations? Also, anyone using a Kenko 37mm 2x Tele on W1? How is the effect and is there any problems faced? Kind of facing a dilemma here. The problem is I own a Panasonic FZ 20(actucally my sis one) too. But to get these for FZ20 is expensive since the lens needed are bigger. Also I do not bring FZ around as often as W1(mostly in my bag). What do you guys think? Just get WC for W1? |

Both W1 and FZ20 is very good for Marco shots.
For the accessories, you may be to check with the Sony guys at Funan Sony Centre. They are quite helpful whom can give you good advise.

Thanks King Tiger. Now know W1 marco also not bad , any pic to show?
Regarding W1 lenscape. Its great for night lenscape(30sec) thats y thinking of getting a WC. But search through the forum and seems that it have problems with WC. vigentting occurs... For day lenscape, picture are very sharp but if compared to prosumer camera its colour is not as dynamic. But if you are happy with it, just dun compare with better cam. Its like takumi's 86 in the initial D- great for downhills but need help on uphill. |

If you enjoy macro, consider getting a 2nd hand 828.

I bought a 1 week old adapter tube, 37mm UV filter and Vitacon 2.5x zoom from the hardwarezone site and they are awesome. Although not Sony brand, but they are great to use.
Still trying them out and will post some pics here later after sorting them out. |
