Default Tamron 18-200mm

hi all. was doing a search for a price guide in HK for this lens and found this site http://www.ygdragon.net/index.php?pa...ameraprice.htm. Good for reference

Saw the sample pics at dpreivew. Pretty good for a travel lens to me.

Two sample pictures taken with the Tamron 18-200mm

At 18mm f16

At 200mm f16

Forgive me for the lousy pictures just showing the convenience of having this lens.

For the first two question I can't answer

Because to me it is acceptable . (noise and focusing speed)

All pictures are taken with D70 mounted on a tripod.

ah... with tripod. Can you try taking without tripod? That will be a better gauge. Take subject say at 1/250 speed at 200mm and 18mm.

A couple of cat shots that I took using Canon 300D. Sorry I cross over here to post them. But we are talking about 18-200, rite?

It should be a good travel lens, good enough for most wide angle and medium range zoom shots. But I'll bringing along my 17-40mm L lens to go along to China as an insurance.

Yes, flash at 45deg with omnibounce, as both taken in the evening. No direct flash at them.

Here's some shots I took with the 18-200m lens at Bishan Park this evening.
