Default anybody encounter something strange with the HS5600?

just find it strange, haven used the HS5600 for about 1 month. went to on it to test the batts and it shows the low batt sign, so changed to 1 set of dunno how long never charged 2500mah, same, den tested with another set of 2000, same... same to the set of 1600mah which i charged the night before... thought all my batteries are dead... can't find alkaline batteries around office...

so after doing some things i came back to check the hs5600, strange enough... it now uses the 2500 without any problem... charges as per normal...

is there something wrong with my hs5600 or is that something normal?

My 7i also reject those NiMH batts and show low batt even after fully charge. But my 5600 ok with them even low batt show on my 7i. Maybe need to get a refresh charger to find out the real reason.

I tried, dun have a problem.... mine are new GP 2300mAh batteries, freshly charged. Maybe your batteries did not contact the metal contacts properly the first time around?

thought alkaline runs better on flash cos they're 1.5V while nimh max is 1.2?
not sure about your flash but have similar encounters with canon and olympus flashes

Happens to my 3600, one reason i was reluctant to sell it... dun wanna sell someone a potentially defective product...

Reminds me, anyone wanna try the new dunnoe wat oxide batteries? They suppose to be 1.7v when fresh and will stabalise to 1.5...

Non-rechargable and think they cost like about $2 a piece... keep your eyes open on your supermarket trips... You could spot them.

How long do they last? $2 a piece is very ex leh... that means each time change one set for flash is about $8....
