dynax 7d price? $200 rebate in the US.

mmm... Is the price of dynax 7d still around $2350?

Does minolta has international warranty on the bodies? The US is selling like US$1100 after the $200 rebate. My bro is in the states, should I ask him to get one for me cuz it will be like $1900 only...

Ok. Anyway on a differently note, did minolta had any offers on the last PC show in March? did a search and it seems that they did not have any offers for the 7d... Is that true?

Nope no offer on price that is but they threw in a 1GB Hagiwara or Kingston CF card...

From wat I know, it ought to be international warrenty, haven't seen any Minolta camera products with local warrenty yet... Best to double confirm tho

the only thing i worry is that i cannot test the cam on the spot before i buy. what if its faulty set? something happened during shipping?

Hi DrHook,

there's no kit lens for the Dynax 7D.
that's the price for the body only, excluding the vertical grip ($250-$270 thereabout) as well.
the KM28-75 f/2.8 should cost no more than $600.

I'm in NZ and this is probably the 1st time I can actually buy a camera here cheaper or about the same price as in Singapore. I can get the 7D here for NZ$1999 so I thought it'd be cheaper in Singapore. A little surprise.

Probably has to do with the popularity of the brand... Canon and Nikon are much more popular... or rather I should say they are the brand that people go for... few casual users consier Minolta over here... only serious amateurs looking for something special and great value for their dollar...
