Default Telephoto Zoom

Hi, I am currently using a Canon A95, I always find that the 3x zoom is not enuff to get insect shots.

Was thinking of getting a good telephoto lens. So far I read on the net, maximum is additional of 2x telephoto zoom. Anyone seen a 4x telephoto b4?

If not, is there a possibility to stack 2 pieces of 2x telephoto lens? The result will still be good?

Please advise..

the 2x are usually way over specified. have tried a few in the past and they work more like a 1.3-1.5x.

if you want to take insect shorts, use close-up filters and get closer to the insects.

thanks for the reply, but the zoom 2x or so is still quite weak.. certain insects like flies will siam if they notice your presence.. so I was thinking of stacking lens, have you tried that b4?
