Excellent pictures! Good control of Depth of Field. Lighting seems rather harsh though. Shot during high noon with flash?

Pokka, I was literally flat on the ground and I had to remove the Batt grip, tripod collar and lens hood to my gears even more lowered.

Benny, I shot them under the shade, but I made a slight adjustment on the brightness/contrast.

for the dedication. you must have got yourself dirtied. do you always bring a spare t-shirt/jeans when u go for macro photography?

Thanks Pokka. I have a dedicated tshirts and jeans for macro shooting, so, I dont mind rolling in the field.

May I ask

did you place the camera on the ground and waited for the ants to pass by?

or did you sneak up and shoot them?
