Default Where to get the best deal for FZ5 / LZ2

Hi

Which would you recommend? I checked out Alan Photo and the price difference's about SGD200.

Also, do you guys know where I can get the best deal for Panasonic cameras? Initially thought it was Alan Photo till I chanced upon a posting that mentioned MS Colour's selling FZ5 for SGD635 vs SGD680 for Alan Photo.

Last question : can we use FZ5 / LZ2 for underwater photography?

what do you mean by difference of $200?

MS selling $635 i suppose without gst and including some freebies.
AP selling $680 i guess with gst and maybe freebies.
You need to check out properly.

yap, $200's the price difference between LZ2 and FZ5. Am thinking if it's worth to top up $200 to buy FZ5. Do you all know if both cameras can be used for underwater photography?? thanks thanks..

Don't think it can do underwater photography! No waterproof case, that I know of, as yet.

Guess that U have to check, CP, AP, MS, BEst Denki etc etc.. take a note book. Note down all the prices and freebies (if there's any)

From then, you do comparison.

Maybe Douchua be able to help you. he really find all the ways to search which to get and where is the cheapest. LOL.... (douchua, kidding hor )

just went to cop a feel of the lz2 at best denki, my amateur take:

other than what the reviews said this and that, one thing unexpected was that the lz2 feels a bit toyish to me in real life, because the camera is actually quite light weight for the size (i had a canon a80). this is in contrast with the sony w5, probably the build quality or something.

i will probably get the lz2 sometime though, just posted this to let those like me thinking about it but havent got a feel of it, to know.

Really friendly meh? Sometimes only lah... not everytime... the other time when i want to buy my previous Minolta Dimage Z3, the person i spoke to was not very keen or interested. Like 'ai mai ai mai' like that.... But a week ago when i went there to buy an external flash for my FZ20 & enquired abt a few high speed, SD card, they were ok.

Think Sim Lim Square 4th flr Active Photo sells the cheapest SD cards. Many type also.

As for a 2nd battery, i think Eastgear's $35 900mAh battery is quite good.

hi bro the external flash unit was it FL28? how much did AP charge u?

btw is external flash any use in outdoor shots (besides bright background cases)? coz i tried shooting without stock flash @ the evo 9 launch turned out better than with flash on! of course I can't bounce it so it was direct casting on the models' faces. But i saw a lot of those pro-looking fellas all activating flash, useful meh?... jus my 2 cts worth...
