Also, I see you got quite the wanderlust and we could certainly benefit from your sharing them in the photos threads and advice on travel info
hi, pinholecam really thanks so much so far for not just helping noobs like me in the realm of pentax phototaking but photography.. i remember posting about film photography in other subforums and u r always ready to help! thanks again

would love to come more often to outings however on top of my usual work i have unpredictable "shifts" or duties popping up here and there due to the nature of my work
    - therefore i do not put in my names early for outing/sharing sessions unless i know surely i can commit cus i do not want to unwittingly withdraw later on

i am also happy to share some travel information! any issues from anyone do let me know.. my photos are not nice tho, so i dont share many of them.. but sure, im travelling to myanmar in 2 weeks' time and i will arm myself with FW's super ME (SE) and my k30 with sigma 30/1.4 and tamron 10-24 and ill be happy to share my photos from that country

cool.. thanks will check out the links.. but i want to know edutilos' work flow too.. anyone who has attended the session pls do take notes and share with the rest of us!

Its really fun to just try. Hearing is one thing. Try alr, fail nvm, clarify with others. I'm not in the position to advise u, so can only show links to where u can find some basic info

You can always check out Youtube.
But most importantly, need to just try.
Then reference again or ask around and try again.

    Sorry I just saw this.

BD is right, most of my single frame shots are done using blending because you have more control and it tends to look more natural. That said, PTGui does yield good HDR Panoramas that are natural looking (far far better than PHotomatix crap, which was the best thing available a while ago).. How times change.

Imho, photomatix is also improving and newer version has this "natural" option which does give very good highlight control for blue hour shots. It is still far from ideal for pre-dusk (hence likely post-dawn also) shots at times though.

I don't know, I gave up on it quite a while ago. The casts are always so unnatural and require a hell load of tweaking and time just to get things right.

You should try the PTGui Exposure Fusion option... It's like I blended it myself, albeit with more rough controls. That's the kind of HDR I like.

Btw, if you're free just come along la. (You can definitely share something too.. )

Where got Lao Tu ... "It doesn't matter whether a cat is white or black, as long as it catches mice", your methods or workflow had served you so well. The photos are clearly an indication. So there's gonna be something in it we can all learn. It's in the details as they say it. And thank you for sharing with all of us!
